Order delayed .... Item wasnt even in stock anyway

My order has been delayed because 16GB VEHO SDHC MEMORY is out of stock.

Now the order delay email says:
"As detailed in our previous email, the estimated lead date given to us from our suppliers was 29/10/2008. Unfortunately we've been informed of a further delay which means we're not able to fulfil your order as soon as we'd hoped."

If the item was due on Wednesday 29th October and hadnt arrived why was it shown as in stock and on the Today Only offer over the weekend if you didnt have stock anyway?

I was home tomorrow awaiting another delivery from another company which was shipped on time and is coming tomorrow so needed both deliveries on the same day.

And why do you still only inform customers an item is out of stock in the evening when you are closed and it is too late to do anything?

Can you please remove the SDHC from the order and ship the rest out today.
