    Silverstone Power Supply Warranty

I'm torn between the Corsair VX450 and Silverstone ST40EF+. Now from what I've heard the Silverstone model is better in Silence and Efficiency while the VX450 offers more HDD connectors and longer cables.. But corsairs 5 year warranty is way to good to not consider. I cant find any information on Silverstone Power Supply warranties with scan.

    Sounds good

But I think corsair wins here with the 5 year warranty, any scan chaps like to confirm if this is 2 years too?

    Re: Silverstone Power Supply Warranty

    Silverstone warranty worthless.

    Do not buy Silverstone.

Silverstone would not replace my DEAD psu - less than 1 month old.

Silverstone provided me with an endless of written directions that would drastically alter from day to day.

Take to company A, then when company A rejected handling unless an additional warranty payment made - Silverstone then said pay to send it to company B.

Silverstone told me that company B will supply me with replacement

Company B didn't . Company B did nothing except sell the exact same model that I'd rma'd even after they received my dead unit until they ran out of it.

Then Silverstone Hq said they would send replacement, then they said distributor will send replacement, then they wrote that B will send replacement - the company who had first completely refused me RMA.

Then Silverstone Hq said they cannot replace that model psu - and that I have accept a different model that does not output the same certified power output or I can get lost.

I repeat DO NOT BUY from SILVERSTONE - A truly awful company completely unfit to do any business with.

Any disbelievers want some of these completely contradictory emails I received from Silverstone posted here just ask.

Anything that Silverstone writes to you is not worth the paper it is printed on - it is 100% worthless.

You have to be very very stupid to buy from a bunch of clowns like Silverstone but hey we all make mistakes. Smart people learn from others mistakes.

    Silverstone are rubbish.

    Re: Silverstone Power Supply Warranty

Silverstone USA the PSU warranty is 3 years and functions just like warranty should.

However for Europe all I can find is this
We cannot exchange the entire product (ATX PSU, cases, etc.) from end users.
Please contact your supplier for exchange information.
    No mention of warranty length.

Go with the Corsair, Dr Cool.
