Thermal paste and Xigmatek S-1283

I've just placed an order for the Xigmatek S-1283 cooler and would just like to confirm whether or not it comes pre-applied with thermal paste.

It comes with a packet which is enough for atleast 1 application, its not that great paste though so id recommend buying something else like arctic silver 5 as thats tried an proven.

Sorted, put in an order of arctic silver 5 - really should have asked this earlier to avoid shipping costs!

I recently read the supplied paste is actually quite good stuff.
I've not used it on my hsf though (used Mx-1 instead )
Read it somewhere whilst reading up about which paste to buy (bought OCZ freezer, though not used yet)

Xigmatek sell tubes of paste too and they're good grease.

Well i was looking into it when i was after a new HS and it seemed to perform the worst by about 5C iirc and also it reacts with the base or something?. Different reviewers though and environments can show different things.

Thanks, not tried it myself (probably won't) Really wanting to try the OCZ freeze but too lazy to dismantle the whole system
