Looks like citylink will fail to deliver (again)

Really getting sick of this now. I may as well forget about ever getting a delivery from them on the due date.

    Requested Delivery Date: 27/05/2009
    Your delivery is scheduled 27/05/09.

I see no reason to believe your order will not be delivered today as scheduled.

    Best Regards

Me neither, but I've a feeling it's not going to be. I'd say about 80% of the time this is the case. Sometimes they don't bother doing a redelivery either as in here: http://forums.hexus.net/scan-care-he...-citylink.html so this is kinda of a pre-emptive post to let you know.

Re: Looks like citylink will fail to deliver (again)

I never have a problem with city link.
I get stuff delivered to where I work. Where I work we are a major city link customer so they always seem to turn up as published. I don't know if there might be a link there?

touch wood - I have an order due from Scan tomorrow....

Yea I am expecting another delivery from Scan too. I'm assuming I won't get that one on time either. It's a real pain. Oh FYI I didn't get it, no surprises there though!

Re: Looks like citylink will fail to deliver (again)

Citylink lottery time again. Do I get it today, should I really have to stay about the house again all day when it should have been delivered yesterday? Any chances Scan could ensure the delivery date for the pending order is personally taken up with citylink to ensure it actually arrives on the specified day? Am I going to have to pick Saturday delivery in the future? Do they even deliver on time then? Do I shop somewhere else? You should have your web devs knock up a new date picker which will randomly stick a pin on the due date for me!

I have not had a problem with City Link as of yet for any of the numerous orders I had from Scan

Complaint to scan and citylink, its probably your bad luck to have a ****e delivery driver on your round.
I had problems from Amazon were he tried deliverying to the next door neighbour twice.

I am always getting deliveries from Amazon for next door. Him next door buys scores of DVDs on Amazon....if I wasn't so honest I'd have a fantastic movie collection.

I apologies that City Link have failed to deliver your order, they have re scheduled delivery for today.

We have raised a claim and will pass the full amount of what we receive back from City Link to you.

I am also looking into your order history and will work with City Link to find out how many order's have missed the requested delivery date and why.

    Thank you for your patience.

    Best Regards

Well thanks for that Chris. The reason citylink provide a specific delivery date, the way I see it, is that they require a signature every time, they will not leave with a neighbour or by the front door etc. It's very important to me that deliveries come when indicated, and with citylink, I need to make sure I am about to collect. I was about yesterday to pick up the package, but if the redelivery were today for instance, I wouldn't have been about for the delivery all day. I'd like to hear the reasons if you could share them Chris because it's not just through Scan I have had problems with them.

    Thanks.
