    Your latest purchases..

I was just wondering what computer parts everyone is buying?

    I just treated my self to a HD 4870 & 4GB Buffalo DDR2 1066MHZ RAM

So what have you treated yourself lately?

    Re: Your latest purchases..

    A new storage server basically.

Quad core Phenom, large case, some new drives, hot swap drive cages (for cramming multiple drives into 5.25" bays).

On the list is either a second 24" Dell or a couple of 24" HPs direct from them (then moving the Dell into the bedroom).

I'm seriously thinking about a new build with the fantastic looking XFX HD 4890 inside. It's currently insanely cheap on SCAN. I reckon one of those and an OCed E8400 would run games at 1920x1200 just fineI'm seriously thinking about a new build with the fantastic looking XFX HD 4890 inside. Does anyone have the Samsung SM2433BW monitor? It's just that it has a really attractive price tag and I was hoping to put it with these bits ^^, but the CustomPC review said it was a bit average. I wouldn't mind an "average" monitor though, as long as it isn't absolutely dire.

    Enermax 425W PSU
Arctic Cooling Accelero graphics card heatsink + fan
Xigmatek S1283 + artic cooling MX5 thermal paste

And I've just bought the crossbow back plate thing for the Xigmatek (three of the push pins are in fully, but I sort of had an accident with the 4th and it's only half way in [keeping a careful eye on temps at the moment, which seem to be fine, touch wood]) as well as a fan to go on the Xigmatek and more thermal paste (just to get the free delivery )

    Core i7 920, Asus P6T Deluxe and 6GB Corsair DDR3 1600.
Only recently put together and now running Windows 7 RC. It's a nice system, but I need a new CPU cooler. The stock one is a bit noisy. Has anyone got any suggestions on a good cooler?

I hope to get a SAS drive to replace my 74GB raptor as well, but I will have to save up for a while first.

Yes, understood man, my post count was increased by a mod by 5, for the record I didn't ask for, so I could send him a private message not to spam forums as I know how annoying it is, this can be seen as constructive mate as I would look at this thread and see who is buying what and what a good buy is so therefore meaning more profit for Scan as more potential sale are being made, and an error message pops up when I try to send a private message, something about my account having insufficient right or something is there anything you can do about this or is this a no go.

I do not want to spam this thread or aggravate things anymore so if once this has been read could you delete this post, so I am not spamming my own thread, if you could would be greatly appreciated.

    Re: Your latest purchases..

He's correct, Chris. I did adjust postcount to enable PMs, but it seems that it takes time to have that effect, and may be that it only runs on the midnight batch update.

Accordingly, Advanced, I've enabled PMs manually for you, and put the post count back down.

There was also a message waiting for you in General Discussion, but it doesn't appear you've seen it.
