    Unhappy RMA Issues

    Hi there,

In arpil 2007 i ordered a Asus P5B-Plus Vista Edition from you and it was all working fine since about 2 weeks ago.

Anyway I got an RMA sorted and posted to you yesterday, and this morning my dad has an email stating that there was no fault found. My issue was 3 short beeps at POST, with no display being shown.
Now I find this hard to believe seeing as during my testing I tried, in this order:

    - Resetting the BIOS (Jumpers+Battery removal)
    - My 2x2GB OCZ ram in the other 2 RAM slots
    - Both sticks of my ram in every slot invidually (several tests..)
    - Removing all unneeded PCI cards and HD/DVD Drives.
    - Different graphics card.
    - Different PSU.
    - Different CPU.

Now as the board has been out of the pc and not turned on for about 2 weeks (since I hadn't had time to send it when it first failed and only had the chance yesterday) is there a possibility that when I get it back itll work for a day or two, or maybe a week, then fail on me again.

Seeing as I tried swapping EVERYTHING out of the board and it still failed (i must have tried booting it some 30 times with all the different components in!) i cannt see what else the issue could be.

Please could you inform me of what both you and I should do next.

Im wary of receiving the board back because of some previous unplesent experiences dealing with scan RMA procedures .

    RMA number is 204242.

    Thanks,
    William Bithrey

I also tried a different HSF (replaced Tuniq Tower with stock intel one) not that this would make any difference

Did you check the RAM voltage and timings (possibly NB too) as OCZ may need a little extra.
Scan will test with Corsair it seems the only diifference, unless possibly its down to your CPU and/or PSU too?

    Re: RMA Issues

    Thanks for the reply

As Mentioned above, I tried my ocz ram in every slot, in every combination of the 2 sticks after having reset the bios. I also tried some known working Corsair XMS DDR800 from my fathers PC which I built him only a month ago.

As for the voltage, I couldnt even get to the bios to adjust it, the machine failed post with no display.

I also tried Different CPUs and another PSU
