    Rma grumble =(

    Re: RMA 193663

I asked for a RMA on my video card on Tues and sent it back on Wed.

When I received an email saying that the RMA had been tested and found to be faulty (at 1pm, promt testing eh?) I had my hopes set on being able to use my PC again on the weekend. Knowing that the card was most likely end of life, I was expecting a different replacement which obviously confuses things. To help speed things up and with poor internet access (being at work )to help the RMA process along, I tried to help by approaching this subject and phoning the RMA dept. upon phoning at 9:30am (Thurs) I was told that the paperwork was being processed and to phone back at 3pm for a decision on the replacement.

Upon phoning up at 3pm I was told that the card replacement would be sorted but wouldnt be dispatched until Sat due to the woman processing the returns going home for the day. That means no delivery until Monday. Caught out by the weekend again

I understand that this process can take upto 28 days to resolve but a little bit annoyed that my pc is down until Monday due to "paperwork/admin". I thought the testing would be the time consuming part.

I know its a pissy subject but I even offered to pay for next day delivery etc to try and get my PC on its feet again.

Prehaps if I pushed the issuse at 9:30am it may have been a different story?

    bloody weekends....

Frustrating as that is for you.
That is a pretty nice and fast turn around, Less than a week is exaclty how it should be.
    Kudos to Scan !

A word of warning though, be prepared to receive your card on Tuesday, weekend dispatches in my experience have rarely arrived on Monday.

Unfortunately We do not ship on Saturday - if the package is not able to ship before Friday, the next shipment would be Monday for Tuesday.

If the card you're talking about is old enough that Scan don't even stock like replacements anymore, that doesn't sound like too bad a result. Weekend sucks, yes, but overall a two to three working day turnaround on an RMA, in a context where it isn't, as you say, a straight warranty swapout, doesn't sound like bad going.
