    LN27850 - 150w FSP Mini-ITX FSP150-5DD01 DC PSU + Includes AC Power Adaptor

    Hi guys,

This PSU looks like it might be enough to power the HTPC build I'm putting together:

    LN27850 - 150w FSP Mini-ITX FSP150-5DD01 DC PSU + Includes AC Power Adaptor
    http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/150w-...-Power-Adaptor

Just a couple of queries. The listing doesn't say what connectors the DC/DC board has. Can you confirm details e.g. how many Sata, molex, etc... connectors it has.

& can you confirm the make & model number of the AC/DC power brick that comes with it please

EDIT: & I meant to ask - has the AC/DC power brick got a fan in it?

    Cheers guys

Anyone at Scan able to give info on this?

As per this thread - http://forums.hexus.net/scan-care-he...-330w-psu.html - I've put in an order for the bits for my HTPC, but the PSU is out of stock.

This DC/DC board could replace that Seasonic PSU, but the listing doesn't really give all the info that I'd want before making a choice. There's not much point getting a silent DC/DC board if the AC/DC adapter has a tiny 40mm fan buzzing away

ok just checked this for you

It comes with a 20/24 pin power connection

    2 SATA connections

P/N of the PSU is 9NA1501300.

    Also seems to be fanless

    Re: LN27850 - 150w FSP Mini-ITX FSP150-5DD01 DC PSU + Includes AC Power Adaptor

    Thanks Carl

As for the ac/dc adapter - Googling for that part number doesn't throw up many hits. One link suggests it's an FSP one, but it's not listed on the FSP site. Is it an FSP brick? I also assume it's a 150w brick to go with the 150w dc/dc board

Re the dc/dc board - 2 sata, but no molex at all? I think I need a molex for the case's fans, plus 2 x Sata for the HDD and the Optical drive.

So if there is no molex at all, LN4815 - http://www.scan.co.uk/Product.aspx?WebProductId=53673 should convert one sata to molex (I'm assuming it works both ways). I can't find any y-connector/splitter for a sata power on the scan site though - admittedly I'm not entirely sure what it will be called to search so I may be missing something obvious. Ideally, do Scan sell a cable that splits 1x sata power to 1 x sata power + 1 x molex?

Again, thanks for the help Carl.

    GaryRW

I can confirm that the PSU was indeed a FSP model.

I belive the SATA adapter you have linked too wont work as the cables on each end will be the same at each of the SATA ends and therefore not be able to connect to each other.

    Re: LN27850 - 150w FSP Mini-ITX FSP150-5DD01 DC PSU + Includes AC Power Adaptor

Carl - I've just spoken to Peter to change the order over. I've ordered some 3pin fan cable splitters which (fingers crossed) will let me power the cases fans from the motherboard pins.

Still surprised it's got no molex power though!

    Cheers for the help.

    Gary
