P6X58D-E & Newlink USB 3.0 HDD enclosure problem

    Hi

Bought the board a few week back (been working great), and just had the Newlink delivered today, to make use of the USB 3.0 speed. Basically Windows 7 will not see the Newlink, unless i plug it into one of the standard USB 2.0 sockets. I have tried a USB mouse in both USB 3.0 sockets, and it sees that fine. The USB 3.0 drivers are installed and ok, accordng to device manager. Unfotunately I dont have any other USB 3.0 device to try in these sockets, so any ideas what else I could try?.

    thx
    joe

    That's weird :S

If you have not already I would advise that you log this issue using the OLQ system so the tecnical team can look at this and advise a course of action. Also, if possible would you be able to check to see if you can test the enclosure on another system with USB 3.0 connectivity.

    Best Regards,

Thanks. I have since raised it with Scan, so will wait to hear from them. In the meantime I 'might' be able to test it with someone else's pc, but not sure at the minute.
