Hi,
I'm a long term user of Scan and CityLink. Never had any problems and have spent £000's over the last few years. Always been happy and have always picked Scan over anyone else primarily due to the awesome delivery service.
However, DPD are the new delivery company.
Placed an order on Sunday for delivery today (Tue 21 Sep 2010). No hourly notifcation from DPD, no card, no goods and then at 7:00pm, after the telephone service centres have shut, a note on the website saying that "at 1:00pm, Unable to deliver, premises could not be located". I'm sorry but I live in a house in a street with just a dozen other properties in a major UK town so it really cannot be that hard to locate. SatNav is not expensive so DPD are obviously just not trying. Oh, and the depot is 20+ miles away from home compared to CityLink's half mile.
So, what can I do to get my goods?
Should I post my consginment details here? Can Scan help? Do I just give up and then have to argue for the compensation after the goods are returned to Scan?
Sorry for the peeved tone, but Scan/CityLink have always been perfect but DPD's shoddy business is making me seriously consider taking my business elsewhere.
