Ozone oxid headset crackling

I bought this headset a few months back now, but they dont get used to much, maybe an hour every other day.

Either way they have developed a crackling sound (more apparant in the right side) but not a sound you get from playing at high volume, its a random crackle and only there whenever any sound is playing. I've tried it on my main desktop and laptop and it does it on both of them, any advice/help? is it a setting or is my headset giving up
