Headphones too small - possible to return?

    Hello,

I recently purchased and received these headphones from your website:

    http://www.scan.co.uk/products/plant...adset-with-mic

However, when I tried them, I found them to be extremely tight and painful to wear - I end up with a severe headache after a very short period of time. Adjusting the headband doesn't make a difference, so would it be possible to return them for this reason?

I was going to simply return them using the standard 7 day "grace period" when buying online, but in opening the packaging, it has been damaged (gashes/rips in places). Will it still be possible to return them?

If it is possible to send them back (would be for a refund obviously so that I could get hold of a different set) will I have to send them back myself or could a courier be sent?

    Thanks,

    Odai.

I myself own the exact pair of headphones, they can be a bit irritating to the head but nothing which distracts me, and the sound quality itself is superb, if you've the headset (am assuming the ear cups) then they may not accept it back for a refund as you've damaged it, best idea is to ring them up and have a chat with one of their friendly help advisers and they'll tell you everything you need to know

Unless you have an particularly unusually shaped or largely sized head then it sounds as though that item is unfit for purpose!
Actually, even if you have, they should put a disclaimer on the packet so you can decide if its suitable before opening it!

If you go DSR then you pay return via your choice of courier.
If you go faulty as unfit for purpose then you can request collection, but beware they will charge if they disagree with it being faulty!

Actually i would be looking more in to the law of distance purchase. you have 7 days when buying anything online to return the item. also for the recore, you bought headphones not a box.
The enclosure on many items like these are designed in such a way then when they are opened they can not be resealed.

    Good luck.

Re: Headphones too small - possible to return?

    Hi,

I think most of the points made above are correct. If you are just unhappy with the item but are not saying they are faulty, providing they can be returned in the same condition as sold you have 7 days in which to request an RMA number.

As said in one of the posts if the packaging is the type that cannot be opened without having to take a knife/scissors to it then we will still accept the goods back.

Please submit an RMA request via the following link:

    https://secure.scan.co.uk/aspnet/Sup...px?QueryType=R

    Or give one of us a call: 0871 472 47 47

    Regards
