Sandforce isn't as bad as it used to be, a Samsung 830 is still your best option. Sandforce SSDs slow down over time, have problems if you fill them up entirely and won't let you encrypt the whole disk, the Samsung 830 does not suffer from any of these problems and is a much better all around performer.
I'd recommend the v200+
Seriously thinking of picking up the sammy 830 due to the sand force issues...any. Thoughts in regards to that?

Samsung 830 wins hands down IMO.
Maybe have a little look at the Kingston HyperX if your not sold on the 830.
Obviously preaching to the choir, but I'd have to go for the Samsung 830 as well, especially with the recent drops in price
