Heatsink advice please

So i am going to order the Fractal Design Node 304 this weekend to round of the parts for my server upgrade.

Currently i am using the stock Intel HSF and its about as useful as a chocolate fireguard when under load in a SFF machine so I need to get something a little better.

Any recommendations on a good heatsink for a i7 2600 that will fit this Chassis and be pretty quiet at a good price?

I would personally recommend the Corsair H80i, it fits it's cheap for a water cooling solution and it doesn't make a racket.

Ok dont take this as me having a go but I did ask for advice on a Heatsink and wanted it at a good price, no where did I say Watercooling or spending a lot of cash?

Im using an Artic freezer 13 pro with an i7 2600 @ 4.4Ghz and it keeps it well within its limits, also its cheap and incredibly quiet even when under load. I cant guarantee this will fit in you case but the full measurements are on the artic site, other than that I'm sure they will know at Scan if it will fit as they use or used this heatsink in a lot of their 3xs systems.

Well I've told you one that answers 3 out of 4 of your queries, you just need to do a tiny bit of research now and while your at it you could probably research info on 'bad Attitude' and how to loose yours.

2, Artic Freezer 13 IS actually a HSF, (isn't that what you was asking about)
3, If you only want Scan to answer your post you would probably be better off emailing them or phoning them.....(see 1,)

You needn't be sorry, the original poster did not post budget nor dimensions nor preference for air or exotic cooling. It is actually the original poster's fault for not providing enough information and to complain about suggestions ergo is bad posting etiquette. Coming from someone with over 3000 posts is surprising.

In regards to the question, I answered this directly on Saturday for Platinum. As he's using a node 304 this has a clearance size so the scythe low profile have been recommended.

Cheers Lee, Did a bit of looking around and went with a low profile Zalman heatsink instead, just waiting on the parts showing up now
