Without judging your posts in any way, we regularly get people posting two or three word posts, like "I agree" or "Yeah, me too", and exactly 20 of them, which makes their motivation a bit obvious. These aren't viewed as a useful contribution.
Generally, if you post something with new information, or a genuinely considered viewpoint, even something amounting to "me too" but perhaps with a bit more thought, perhaps a reason why you think it, that's useful. Something a genuine, active forum member might post, that will be fine.
Broadly, the line is .... is this someone making quickest 20 posts they can, that don't really offer a contribution, just to get free shipping? If the mods think do, post count is likely to get adjusted as the tie-up offer is supposed to be a benefit offered by Scan to genuinely contributing members, not something to be abused for free shipping.
At least, that's how I understand it.

Thank you for the very in depth and polite reply!
My posts were all 'contributing' as far as I could tell and I hadn't planned on quitting the forum after 20 posts either. I thought as long as a thread wasn't closed then it was fine to write another post in it, I didn't realise that was frowned upon. I must admit I have been a bit put off making posts now and feel like I am treading on egg shells. I usually have long sessions posting in forums and chat sites as I have a physical condition that prevents me from being able to do much else.
Thanks again for your time
Experience tells us that a rapid rate of posting couple with old thread resurrection often indicates someone posting for the postage.
We know nothing about new posters except the rate of posting and the quality of their posts - and to be fair, the quality of your posts were generally good.
We know a bit more about you now and welcome you to HEXUS and your future participation.

Thank you very much, I will try to keep up the quality posts
This is probably a stupid thing to ask but are replies to posts counted as 'posts'. In my mind a post is a new thread/conversation so I'm leaning towards that they aren't. Also is the activation automatic or do I need to advise Scan?
Thanks
Scan are asking for Hexus User ID and Hexus Username - whats the difference?
