    Unhappy Aopen dvd drive problem


    Hi, I bought a AOpen dvd drive from scan, got this problem- Drive bay door opens all the time. Soon as I boot up the door opens, press close button it shuts then opens again. Tryed it on two PC's same fault on both, cd drives on PC's are ok.
    Sent post to scan support yesterday, waiting for reply.

    I have two of these,
    mine did the same on one of them. It was actully my fault. I had changed the front panel and not put the bezel on corrrectly. Doh

    After that worked ok. Maybe not your problem, but thought it could be a possiblilty.

    Good point - the chameleon is designed to have a removable front, so it could have slipped....

    I have changed the bezal, I'll check it out now. Let you know what happens. Cheers guys.

    Nice to hear you've fixed it.

    Cheers for that feedback - I'll add some info to the website now to highlight that this occurs when the bezel is not connected right.
