Query re: memory received

I recently ordered a pair of Opterons, a motherboard and 2x 1GB ECC Registered DIMMs on the same order. The kit's all fine aside from one gripe; the motherboard's dual channel, but the memory is of two completely different brands, with different chip layouts etc. Consequently, the board will only boot in single channel mode, which is moderately annoying...

Is there any possibilty of swapping out one of the DIMMs for one that's the same layout as the other? I did look at the various dual channel kits, but they weren't ECC Registered, and I assumed that both the DIMMs, being the same price and product code, would be the same.

I would advise that you contact returns to get one of the memory modules swapped then all we shall need to do is find which memory you have and then get one to match.

If you PM me your invoice number and a contact number I can locate the memory from the warehouse during the course of tomorrow or Saturday and then hopefully get the same type of memory sent to you.

Sorry for the delay, I would advise to contact the returns depart explain the issues and they shall arrange to RMA one of the modules and get a matching module for the one sent.

Steve, I'm extremely happy, and I'd like to say how much I appreciate the time that you've taken to sort this out. You've been extremely helpful, and I look forward to ordering from Scan again. I doubt I'll be unhappy with 2 Gig of Corsair XMS ECC Registered either , and as soon as that ships to me pursuant to the new order I'll get the other RAM packaged up securely and shipped back to you.
