I am really sorry about my rant that follows, but I have to get it off my chest. I returned a faulty Abit IC7. As an end of life product (ie no longer made) there was a problem with a direct replacement, so I was sent an IC7-G. It arrived today in a brown oem box, looking slightly dusty and yellowed. Oh well I thought and unpacked the rest. Ah, no driver cd or Ata or FDD cables as were in the previous, fully retail IC7 that I had sent back. So I stuck the board in, nd slice up my fingers whilst trying to install my arctic cooler which now didn't fit because of the larger NB cooler on the G model! Great. I turned round the cooler, and it fitted, just. I stuck the rest of my components in and turned it on. Same fault as previously, it all turned on and just kept spinning, no gfx output, no beeps from the bios. Bum, I thought. Oh well, I will reset the bios. Disconnected everything and took off the cmos connector. I looked at the pins and they were all bent. I couldn't fit the connector on! I had to bend the pins back into place! I reset the cmos, including battery removal. Nowt. I am well peed off now. I have got an RMA no, but have been told the mobo may be replaced. I don't want another incomplete, second hand, broken board. My money back or even a credit note would do! Rant over. I have ordered an 875 board from elsewhere. If this is sorted out I will use you again though!
