I've just emailed purchasing to get an ETA for these motherboards, as soon as I get any information I'll let you know accordingly.
on a side note - onboard DVI ... hmmmm interesting - might be worth getting 1 of these for an HTPC system
Thats exactly my plan.......... we'll see whether i can resist putting a video card in for gaming..........
Morning
Purchasing have got back and the Asus suppliers in the UK have no ETA for that board yet. As soon as they do, we will be adding this to the website with the provisional ETA date.
Sorry for any inconvenience.
Hi there
Just wondered if there was any update on these motherboards....they've been specially designed for HTPC, and I'm gagging to buy one
There are 3 due out, so could you let me know if Scan will be stocking them, and any ETAs if you have them ?
Asus A8N-VM CSM
Gigabyte GA-K8N51PVMT-9
Foxconn 6150K8MA-8EKRS
Thanks a lot
Last I heard from most suppliers was they're due mid november! But they initially were due the end of october so who knows how acurate that really is! - six
Yeah, i've heard that too... lets hope they're right.
thanks for this
Do you think a 6150 based board is worth waiting for? How about the MSI ATI Xpress 200 based board that has DVI onboard?
Wanting to put my new htpc system together and patience isn't one of my virtues ;-)

Im ordering the Gigabyte K8NMF-9-K8 - Gigabyte are great IMO.
I'm fitting the board in a Silvertone lc11-m htpc case. The MSI board doesn't fit. The Asus A8N-VM CSM is one of the few boards that have the pci and pci-e slots in the right place to work with the risers that come with the case.
Also i've read some reports of ATI Xpress 200 boards struggling with some HTPC software where as the 6150 boards are designed to run the video etc better...
Any news when Scan are getting the Asus A8N-VM CSM?
Looking at the specs for the Asus it says:
"Dual VGA Ouput DVI-D & RGB" does the RGB mean the same as component output? (my TV has that)
BTW ebuyer has some in stock if your desperate !
RGB is the standard 15pin VGA socket.Originally Posted by Alistair

Did anyone see these are on the today only page ?
I got one at the begining of the week - nice board but the TV Out & SPDIF Modules are optional extras
Do scan stock these as I really wanted it for my HTPC but have had to put it in my main rig atm.
Would consider a 2nd board if I could get the modules - otherwise probably have to wait for Gigabyte's offering as it has SPDIF & TV Out as standard
Ahh, just ordered one. Didn't realise the TV Out & SPDIF were extra!
Might cancel and wait for the Gigabyte... Other than the Tv Out and SPDIF do you know any other differences between the boards?
