    Return to scan

    I have to return my memory to scan because the heatsink on one stick of the ram has peeled off. I am posting tomorrow and should arrive on Monday morning..

    Will i get my replacement before saturday?

    I was told its a straight replacement and the replacement maybe sent out on day of arrival to scan!

    Can a member of scan confirm it for me...

    Have you requested an RMA number before sending it off?

    If not, go to www.scan.co.uk - and log a request in the support section. You will be contacted with details on how to return the product as soon as possible.

    Yes I did I have the number and its all packaged and will be sent today (saturday) via royal mail 1st class signed for delivery!

    Will i get the replacement before next saturday?

    Editied post above and to let you know i had to sent via signed for and not special delivery - My PO dont do it on saturdays - still on monday or tuseday it should arrive!

    We cannot guarantee any items received after Friday gone will be processed before Christmas, we will try our best but as our website shows were pushing for all RMA's received upto Friday to be completed before Christmas.

    I wasn't told that before i sent it I got the RMA number on the friday gone and i asked if it would be replaced before Xmas and i was told yes!

    I will be most unhappy if it isn't...

    Can you confirm that?

    I can't confirm i'm afraid, obviously we are doing everything we can, but it would'nt be right for me to make false promises. Can you advise who you spoke to on Friday and PM me your RMA number so i can investigate this.

    Pm sent - this morning it says you got the item, tested and found the fault and awaiting replacement! Can you please see if you can do your best to get it sent?

    UPDATE: The RMA says completed but the outgoing invoice number says its invalid... number: xxxxxxx

    Ok yes thats working - it shows that the replacement is out of stock and estimated for despatch tomorrow - is this correct - is it gureenteed tomorrow despatch?

    How can an estimate be a guarantee, by definition it is just that an estimate.

    I have just checked into this it is definately on order, it is definately due to be received for tomorrow. With the information we have to hand the estimate is correct. However, and especially at this time of year, delays are inevitable.

    We in the Returns department are working flat out, we have done everything we can to process this for you, now it is all in the hands of the delivery guru's, here's hoping.

    On another point the more you hassle returns for "definate" RMA dates the less time they will have to sort such issues out, so please bare this in mind when asking the same question 2 - 3 times ...

    Yes I know... I have just checked and my invoice hasn't been updated and it still says despatch is today... Have you got any of that RAM back in stock? I have to leave in a moment...
