IIRC ...
DVR-110D only reads DVD-RAM
DVR-110 writes to DVD-RAM
Hope it helps
also the D is reduced length variant of the drive.
Best Regards,
ah,cheers. D = for smaller cases/less tangles in other cases then?...otherwiswe specs idential then? can't make head or tale of it all just looking for a good way to back up all the hundreds/thousands(!) of images I have onto dvd...
edit: hang on, they all say 'reduced length'

Sorry to drag this up, but per the quote, I think the specs on the 111D... drives is wrong - any idea when you'll get the 111/111BK?Originally Posted by ^SwITcH^

That's what I mean - that is the black 111D (if the model no. is correct), but the spec is that of the black 111 (the D in the model no. represents DVD-RAM reading only). No use for writing DVD-RAM currently, but for a quid or two, I want to future proof.
EDIT: See here http://www.pioneer.co.uk/uk/product_...onomy_id=43-92 - the difference is between the first two drives & the third & fourth one.

I see that the 111 is now listed & at a very attractive price. The 111D still seems to have the wrong spec though.
