    NEC ND-4551 labelflash ?s

    Currently afaik the only software that lets you do labelflash is the NEC oem version of Nero that comes with the retail pack.
    As Scan's drives are oem what are you meant to do for labelflash software?

    media?
    availability/price?

    The newest edition of the Nero OEM supports this new technology and this is located on the website at the following link ;

    http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=335765

    Please note - the drives are OEM and as such do not come with any software, this we have checked a few times now and this is why we have just got the newest nero edition with the ligthscribe/labelflash support.

    Regarding media - the following link is a good source of what can and cannot be used on the drive and gives an idea of times taken for the "etching" to occur on the disc ;

    Bugger.

    I bought thsi software:
    LN9628 Ahead Nero Express Burning ROM Suite 1 6.6.x OEM ** NEW** along with my drive in Dec, but haven't tested the labelflash as I haven't needed to yet?

    Is it possible to buy the proper version without a drive (it doesn't mention OEM) or do I have to buy another drive first?
    Woohoo now Assistant Manager!

    On a side note, I owned the NEC 4550 for a few months beforehand. Has anyone else noticed that this drive is exceptionally loud? (Much louder than the 4550 )
