Getting the 6600 you may have to buy a new power supply (depending on what PSU you have ATM) if you dont want to spend anymore on a graphic card then stick with a 6200

    try to get ddr3 memory
Vega is quite correct, but to amplify his answer, you should aim to get DDR3 memory on the graphics card, not DDR3 memory for your computer.
It appears that the Brookdale-G chipset only supports up to PC 2100 speeds, which is what you have, although you could (if you wanted) swap these out for a larger sized pair at the same speed.
I have no hesitation in recommending either Corsair Value Select memory, or Scan as a supplier (buy two sticks here), at £30 each. You will see some performance benefit.

Beyond having more memory installed, and of course the graphics card, you would actually find a fairly large (and noticable) benefit by upgrading the motherboard to something like an 865-chipset based motherboard. The only difficulty with these sorts of incremental upgrades (assuming you kept the same processor and current memory) is that the rest of the system becomes the bottleneck.
If you did want to, this one would fit the bill.

That said, my general advice if to just upgrade the graphics card and leave it at that. When you then have £300 ish to spend, you can upgrade motherboard, processor and ram all together to something more current generation for a whopping improvement. In the meantime, enjoy!
