    Another delayed order thread

    So I got an email tonight that one of my orders from YESTERDAY lunchtime has been delayed 'due to an unexpected volume of orders placed throughout the day' and therefore I assume will go tomorrow. The items have always been in stock.

    This is a poor show Scan. I've now had several orders recently that haven't gone when they should have.

    This order was chased by Lee earlier today and he told me it was 'flagged as urgent .... orders which are all reprinted @ 4pm and given priority picking'.

    Even less impressive I'm afraid.

    I have looked into this for you,

    The order was placed on the 2nd August...

    1. Invoice Printed 03 Aug 2006 12:00:00
    2. Payment Authorised 03 Aug 2006 12:02:00

    The estimated despatch date, which was confirmed on placement of the order is the 4th August and also confirmed via e-mail @ 03/08/2006 12:16:49.

    I understand Lee flagged the order as urgent to try and push the order through the system to ship ahead of the estimated despatch date provided, however this is not guaranteed and your order has not been delayed as the estimated despatch date was confirmed as the 4th August.

    This is due to ship tonight for delivery Monday 7th.

    I understand the estimated despatch dates are a little longer at the moment, I apologies for this and we have been upfront and honest regarding the delay of the order from the time the order was placed.

    Chris, thanks for the reply but you're looking at the wrong details I believe. I have placed 3 orders so far this week so I can understand why.

    My order ending 682 on Wednesday said 'The estimated despatch date of your order is 03 Aug 2006 for a next business day delivery'. The order I placed after that for an out of stock item is due to deliver today and the order I placed yesterday is due to deliver Monday.

    I'm very disapointed that an order (with everything in stock), which Lee flagged yesterday as urgent, has missed it's despatch time and now won't get here until 5 days after I ordered.

    From looking at the order ending 682 the order has indeed missed the estimated despatch date due to a high volume of orders. The confirmation tracking e-mails are sent once the order is picked, as orders can be picked up until 8pm the e-mails can arrive up to 8pm

    I apologies for the delay; however the volume of orders we have is unexpected and is a short term issue. Even though we do aim to achieve the estimated despatch date we cannot always achieve this in certain situations such as a high volume of orders.
