In Stock when ordered...But not now!

I placed a £600 order on Wednesday 8th on the promise that all the items were in stock "I guarantee we won't sell out of those Mr W" was the quote I was given when I actually phoned to confirm the website was upto date.
Last night (Friday) I recieved the dreaded out of stock email which left me very dissapointed.

Why does it take almost 48 hours to decide this, surely if the item had been picked sooner it would have still been available for me? Could you also please advise me (SCAN Admin) when the item (ASUS P5N32SLI SE DELUX NF4 SLI MoBo) is expected back in stock?

EDIT: Just had an email now saying I am at stage 3 of 4

"The real time status of your invoice is: Stage 3 of 4

1. Invoice printed / Awaiting authorisation - 09 Aug 2006 20:58:00
2. Payment authorised - 10 Aug 2006 10:32:00
3. Order picked / Awaiting despatch - 12 Aug 2006 12:10:00
4. Order despatched"

Now I am really confused

EDIT 2: Just had a txt and email telling me it's all been shipped, guess all is good in the world again

When the order was placed an estimated depatch date of the 11h August. The delayed e-mail's are sent when the order is picked, which is the same day as the estimated despath date and when we would confirm any out of stock items.

Stock then arrived and the order was shipped on the 12th August.

Please let me know if you have any further issues.
