Lines dropping into PreOrder.

Ive made a considerably large order from scan. I made the order on the 12/9 and was given an ETA on delivery of the 15th. Since placing the order I have checked as to wether the items are in stock, or not. It appears that roughly 5 lines have droped into PreOrder.

Does scan not allocate on order?

ChrisP: I have spoke to someone by phone to sort this out, I was just asking wether scan allocated on order. It seems to me, that if items are not, and you order going on by whats in stock, as I did-I wanted (and kinda needed the items by, er, today) that scan might as well not bother posting wether items are in stock, on pre-order, or out of stock. BUT, now I am not getting 100% of what I want, if I had of known that some of the items that I ordered would be unavailable, I simply would not have ordered them from Scan, and would have ordered them from elsewhere.

Stock allocation has been discussed before and is something we are working on for the very near future.

I don't actually care if you think it was or not - swearing, staring or trying to post words that are in the swear filter is breaking the rules.

The saga continues. This time, I phoned up this morning, to see wether the order was to be picked during today. It was confirmed that it was, and I was assured that the order would be picked and shipped today.

And, unless the warehouse people at scan work till after 8, and citilink pick up after 8, neither has happened. Logging into my account, I see that payment was (re)authorised yesterday, so that is not holding things up-but that the order isnt picked, nor has it been dispatched.

Frankly, I'm extremely disapointed with scan, my order was to be labeled as "Urgent" acording to the helpful woman I spoke to. In the past scan has shipped orders next day, or even the same day if I ordered early enough. I'm really considering not using scan again.

I booked tomorrow off work to be able to recieve my goods, and then start building my new machine. So, instead I will be doing one of two things: sitting picking my nose, or, er, sitting picking my nose.

I think you have been very unlucky. Twice i have had orders delayed due to stock, this happens and is one of those things.
But twice i have phoned up and sorted them out (change items or remove things) and my orders were put on priority and reached me the next day. Even after calling them at 5pm, they managed to get the item off to me.
So i think you have been unfortunate, this wont help you much, but im sure scan did the best they could.

I recieved an email this morning telling me of 3 further lines that were available before I ordered now being on back order. Shouldnt I have been told about that when I rang either on Monday or yesterday?
