XBOX 360 HD-DVD Drive

Hi Chris,

Just a small query, have you any arrival date of the XBOX 360 HD-DVD Drive?

The website says end of January, I understand they seem to be in short supply everywhere .

I'm thinking of using one with my PC as I've heard it's possible.

Must pass on thxs to the guys in the warehouse for shipping my graphics card (Palit 8800GTS) before the storm last week .

Hi Wills,

The Palit 8800gts is fairly stable so far in my system, the card has usual 2 DVI ports & TV OUT. Played Tomb Raider Legend on max settings ok including Next Gen and on the max resolution supported by monitor. One of the main reasons I wanted it was because I recently purchased a Dell 2407 24" monitor. Still in the process of urgrading bit by bit as parts are expensive when just out!

Just to point out I'm not on conroe yet so that will increase speeds somewhat I would expect.

680i motherboard is on wishlist but I'm concerned about Sata problems that have been reported.

Thanks for the Info regarding the 8800gts, from what Ive read It sounds awesome, It was just that Ive never heard of Palit before. As far as I know all the manufacturers have to use the nv refernce board at the moment anyway dont they, so all the products are almost idential (I may be wrong here?)

As yet there is not expected delivery date set on the system.

All on order are taken up so none spare I should imagine, if we are lucky we may receive more, I said Lucky.

I have Palit GTS runs great on core2duo no problems stable and you are correct not really any difference between all the cards bar the price and some warranties and a pretty box. Oh and the price

I've been trying to get one of these for a while myself. I was wondering if anyone knew about the free copy of King Kong and Remote. Will they still be bundle with it? I'm asking because, technically, these won't be launch drives now.

The bundle was only for the first batch of HD-DVD drives therefore all future shipments (and the previous one we had) wont actually come with the King Kong bundled
