    Returns Problem

I personally believe scan run a scam business, i will tell you why

Thursday (8/2/07) i got a RMA number for a MOBO not powering up, spoke to the dude on the phone told him even the power supply is not powering up, so i am sending the power supply, mobo, processor, gpu and ram. They got the items on Monday, THEY TESTED ALL parts in 15 mins and CLAIM nothings wrong LOL(LIES). I 100% knew the power supply does not work i tested on 5 machines for the past 2 weeks. They claimed it worked and their staff did everything to test the parts. So i asked can you retest, they said yes, so when will you do that, they said NO estimated date. my retest has gone at the back of the queue and would be tested in 2-3 days that time i lost my patience’s spoke to the manager and asked them to send the goods back as they had found the units not to be faulty. I know my legal stand so i told them that i will take the goods to an independent computer specialist and will make him write a report on the goods being faulty and would take them to court, after listening to that the manager said, SIR i will go and check the items my self, previously they were claiming it will take 2-3 days now it just took 2 seconds. The manager called my office back and informed that the power supply was faulty. When i called and asked for an explanation they informed me sometime it powers up and some times it doesn’t. THAT IS CRAP. The power supply never powered up and was 100% broken, ALL LIES TO COVER their tracks, NOW i was explained they had found the fault and were sending my goods BACK. MISTAKE they never tested the other parts and i had informed them the cpu goes up to 90C and they never checked that. I was informed by the manager yesterday they will look into the matter today and dispatch the units TODAY. TODAY i called scan and asked for the manager and the manager didn’t want to even speak to me. When i asked the chap on the phone how long it will take to test the rest of the parts he claimed he cant give me any exact date. SCAN IS A SCAM, and their estimations are crap i had order a new pc on Wednesday promised it would be dispatched on Monday, i get an email on Wednesday sorry sir we don’t have the corsair ram in stock?? (SCAN claim they have all the bits in stock.. LIES AGAIN.)...so i told them just send me all the bits excluding the ram they said no problem sir.. AGAIN the items were not dispatched the same day LIES LIES LIES LIES.

Please can you supply the invoice number by PM as I have requested, so this can be looked into.

Or PM your real name, and postcode, so I can locate the information.

    Thank you.

If you want to stay on these forums, I suggest you change your attitude pretty sharpish.
We wont have Scan staff or any other member spoke to in the way you are currently doing.

    Last warning.

If you can't attempt to resolve your issue in a grown up manor then you will be having a very short stay at HEXUS.

Which is no excuse for acting like a 5 year old. I'd suggest you PM DavidM the information he's requested so that perhaps he can link your rant with your order and pick up the relevent case history for you.

i am sorry my only aim is so other users know what scan is upto. The words of scan staff are buzzing in my brains as i told them to look into that matter and Expedite the situtation, they said they cant do that as it would not be fair for the other clients, it would be like jumping a queue. So i dont want to do that, i want to wait as a normal customer would.

    Fiend,

I spoke to you at length yesterday; I performed the retest on the goods as per your request and found that the PSU was causing the system not to post however this was an intermittent fault,

Your original fault report stated that the board powered but didn’t display when the engineer first tested the goods and the whole system posted what else was he to do……… there was no mention from you that it was a intermittent problem,

I then called your office and apologised as the PSU was faulty and it would be replaced you then informed me that you believed there was a problem with the CPU idling at 90 degrees I informed you that we would retest the goods and the new PSU for this issue before sending the goods back to yourself,

I NEVER informed you that the goods would be dispatched today simply because that it outside of my control, I did however inform you that the testing of your replacement goods will be carried out today and I will do by best to ensure this is carried out,

On a personal note I don’t appreciate being called a liar for trying to help you,

I will ensure that your goods are retested today and try to have them dispatched to yourself as soon as possible.

    Best Regards
