Home Delivery Network FAIL.

I have had HDL leave things behind my bin on two occasions, first time a DVD player, second time a load of books that got rained on, so I got amazon to send out replacements as they were all warped by the damp. I phoned up and complained both times. I see now it the whole network that behaves like this, my cards were marked "in your safe place". A couple of times they have left stuff with my neighbor. I don't feel it is acceptable to leave in a place (next door or outside) without the customers express permission, which i would never give.

I always check what couriers a company uses before I place an order...

If HDN is listed, I find another place to order from.


Nothing but grief and lies from them the 2 times I used them. I was expecting to see spurs on the workers when I turned up at their depot!

I love the fact that all of the "reason" fields are blank.

There's clearly very little "reasoning" going on at any point during that process.

I think I've only ever had one problem with them, and that was once when I'd ordered some books from Amazon - they didn't even seem to wait a few seconds for the door to be answered, by the time I'd got to the door they'd already thrown the package over a high gate and were leaving (and they didn't ask me to sign anything).

Luckily the package was fine and any times they have been used since, I have had no issues with. If I remember correctly, it was nearing Christmas a couple of years ago (EDIT: According to a look through my emails, actually February 2007), so I can only assume they were Temps not doing their job properly.

Hmmmmm, apparently they do Sunday delivery now.
