    How To Sell a Laptop

Hey guys, a bit of a different thread here..
I'll fill you in with some background. I bought this laptop 2 years ago, high endish. It broke while at uni (got a bit of water on it (drunken flatmate)), which voided my warranty. The company i was linked to said that they could fix it and were quite sure it would be less than £200 and maybe much less from what i told them. But then out of nowhere my insurance decided it would be better to get a new one, so i did just that. SO, now i am left with a broken laptop, worth £1,300 when bought from Vadim custom laptops, which tbh looks completely unused and i dont know what to do with it. So, how does one go about selling a laptop like this, is ebay the way? Any of you sold laptops in the past? I tried gazelle.com and they said it was out of their price range.
Any input would be much appreciated. Here are the specs, any valuation would be helpfull

strictly speaking it probably belongs to the insurance company now & not you.

it's worth whatever someone is prepared to pay & without knowing exactly what the problem is anybody will be taking a gamble so I wouldn't expect it to go for anything like it's original price.

Good point, maybe it would be best to ask the insurance company.

You can sell any rubbish on ebay; there are already plenty of laptops marked as faulty. If you have no/low feedback the amount you get may get a lower than you expected. You can dabble and list with a reserve price? The other option is to list after you have fixed it, I do not know much about laptops so no idea how much it is worth resale; you could always ask on a specialist laptop forum but keep in mind most are American.

I did when they first took it away, the guy who handled the claim said they had no need for it and it would just go in a skip. Still dont understand what happened there.
Ok cheers i'll try one of those. Ebay was always gonna be my last resort, just didnt want it to go on there if i knew there was a better way of selling it.

I mean you pay for postage down, i would try and fix it, if i cant pay to send it back, and your not a lost worse off for trying. If i fix it, could be sellable.
