Following an order for a cheap memory card I have just had to cancel my maestro card because two fraudulent payments have been made with this card therefore my advice...AVOID THIS WEBSITE AT ALL COSTS!!!!!

If you have purchased anything from this website check your email, I received 3 emails from my bank within 24 hours of the purchgase saying that my secure password had been changed. I then rang the bank and had the card cancelled.

hey, i ordered an ipod touch from the site on sunday but have been worried ever since. i sent a few emails to the guy via the sites 'contact us' page, but have had no reply so far... if the guy told sarto his order is coming on wednesday (tomorrow) then i hope mine will be also. I, like you sarto, still have that irritating message on my account saying 'awaiting payment'. i really hope i have'nt just been scammed. just one question to sarto, did the guy contact you by phone? and if so do you have his number? i would like to speak to him for reassurance that my order is on its way.


p.s. i tried phoning him on the number posted the other day but no answer but it said that the number was not recognized.

i will keep you guys posted on any information i get.

Still no word from the guy who initially e-mailed me (Gary Fleck, right wolfi?). They didn't call me although in the few messages that we did exchange, the guy said that they would even though I'm currently in Italy. I've e-mailed a few times now and still have heard nothing. After seeing mrobbo's post I have notified my credit card company that something is suspicious and have sought further advice.

Once again I'll update when I have more news.

I sent a message via the contact us tab on the site. I tried calling the phone number that I found myself and it came back as unrecognised.

I just called my credit card provider and they say that there's nothing that can be done until either a) it gets to a point where the goods clearly aren't going to arrive, or b) the goods that arrive aren't as described on the site. I guess all there is to do is wait and see, knowing that I'm covered should anything dodgy actually occur.

cheers for that, i have now also rang my credit card company and i'm also covered no matter what happens. so i just hope my ipod turns up now or i'll have to get it somewhere else.

oh man. well yeah things are looking very doubtful. i checked my bank account again and it says that they haven't even taken the money for the order yet. i really dont think its gunna come now.

I ordered a digital camera on this site just yesterday as it was only £55, a fiver cheaper than Amazon. I thought this wasnt too fishy, but then I noticed it was selling PS3s for £199 and Wiis for £120.

I then found this forum and I am glad I did! I have cancelled the card I used just in case, I dont want to get frauded

Another note is that uksurplus.net will no longer load...

When will people learn that cheapest is not always the better option, so you might save £5 or £10 but look at the potential to be scammed.

Stick to Amazon, Play, Scan etc and buy safe!

i was scamed also on uksurplus.net when i tryed to buy a xbox live wireless adaptor the also spent my money on online gamberling and several pink ticket

I ordered goods 1 week ago , and after a few emails from "gary" I was stupid enough to give details of 2 cards ..1 week later Ive just had to cancel 2 cards as both accounts had been scamed for around 500 quid .. ..DO NOT EXPECT ANY GOODS AND DO NOT USE THIS SITE EVEN IF IT OPENS AGAIN...I have learned my lesson , my advice is.. Stick to the sites you know and trust.............................
