I found their site through google shopping - google obviously doesn'y check these sellers at all.

The fact that every item was "in stock" and really cheap made me suspicious.

Same story here, my card details were used to place bets on William Hill Online, they attempted to charge over £600! Luckily my card provider denied all but £50 which should be refunded. Site must have been reported by now, hence it being down at the moment.

    Re: http://www.uksurplus.net/

    Hi

As a director of UK Surplus Central Ltd, website uk-surplus.com, (unable to post full url, due to forum policy for new users) I just wanted to post a note to highlight that the subject of this thread, uk-surplus.net, has no connection what so ever with UK Surplus Central Ltd.

UK Surplus Cetral Ltd operate from a warehouse just off J22 of the M1 in the East Midlands near Leicester. Apart from our website we operate sales channels on eBay, Amazon, Play.com, and Pixmania.

We are a VAT registered business registered in the UK with a company number of 5759446 should you wish to look up our credentials at Companies House.

Unfortunately it would appear that we are selling similar items to the company which is the subject of this thread, and we will look into whether further action is needed on our part.

This matter was brought to our attention by a customer who contacted us believing she had purchased an item from ourselves, and had received nothing for 2 weeks.

She had of course purchased from uk-surplus.net and like other posters here had been sent a separate email requesting her date of birth after she had made payment by credit card. It was this lady who brought this matter to our attention. We advised she contact her card issuer immediately and fortunately she had not had any money taken from her card up to that point.

There is also another company whose webisite address is the same as ours but which deals in military and large plant surplus, again no relation to the subject of this thread.

I hope this helps to clear up any confusion, but if anyone has any questions you can of course view our website which has all our contact details on it.

    Sincerely
    John Yallop
    Director UK Surplus Central Ltd.
