    Bank Transfer Help

    Hi,

I bought a Samsung D600 from ebay a couple of weeks ago and paid the seller by bank transfer. I havent received it yet and the seller is ignoring my emails. I have reported this to ebay but ebay suspended their account the day I bought the item. As the money came straight out of my account, do I have any comeback here?

    Not really, no...

Did the seller give you any sort of contact details? No's, Addresses?

Keep pursuing the buyer via whatever means you can. Ebay won't be able to help you here...

Did the seller have much feedback? If he did it may be something like some of his seller fees failed to transfer correctly (Ebay auto suspend accounts)... And you may be in luck.

If he didn't, then it's most likely just a scammer.

    Sorry.

I have no contact details. Only his bank account number and sort code. He had around 50 feedback and around 98%.

Indeed do these things, but don't expect to get anywhere ~ I've been in pretty much the same situation. Bank aren't interested, and the police will just record it :|

    Mind posting the sellers page?

I thought ebay guaranteed up to £200 or something, even when you dont use paypal. Check standard buyer protection

If you dont have his details, look at his past sales (mainly people he has brought off if you can). Send them an message through ebay, see if they will give you his address.

This is only any good if the account hasnt been hijacked though.

pretty sure bank transfers, money transfers (like western union), and a few other methods, arent included, but worth looking into. Your first ponit of contact should be to file a fraud complaint with ebay, and go from there.

I think the police do take ebay fraud seriously though. I know when I got ripped off, the Northumberland police caught up with the fraudster and he was going to court (dont know if he was found guilty or not).

Sorry to her your story ,BUT how can you paid somebody without having his address, and A contract Number? ,AS i understand you win this phone he then must have sent you his bankdetails without anything else.
so all you had was his bankdetails and email address.
I don't think you will get much help from ebay as any comeback i think has to be trough Pay Pal before you can make a cliam for anything. Sorry

You are covered under the eBay standard purchase protection scheme up to £120 minus a £15 admin fee.
Should be no problems with your claim if you have the evidence!
