    Decent webspace providers?

    Howdy!

I need to buy some more webspace - nothing big, just 50mb or so. I'm not worried about CGI scripts, Frontpage extensions, yadda yadda yadda - just need space to stick some html files and jpegs. Don't want to use a freebie service as I don't wanna faff around with adverts or limited bandwith per hour, etc...

So, can anyone recommend a company that sell webspace plain 'n' simple?

It's for an extension to my website - www.myroadtrips.co.uk , need to upload pictures for my latest jaunt across America, but the company I currently use seems to charge quite a lot for any extra storage...

I've used fasthosts for a few years. Been very impressed. Good customer service, and not too dear. 3.99 a month for my package, and a choice of Linux or Windows servers.

Also, I used the coppermine PHP script for my own photo website - www.puremince.com.

    I have 750Mb I believe in webspace.

    My System: Coolermaster Centurion 5 (black) case, Intel E6750 Core2Duo, Tagan Easy-Con 530W, Asus P5B Deluxe WIFI, OCZ 2GB Kit (2x1GB) DDR2 800MHz/PC2-6400 CL 4-4-4-15 PLATINUM XTC, Samsung SpinPoint 200Gb SATA2 / 2 x Maxtor DiamondMax 10 200Gb SATA, 256Mb Sapphire ATI PCI-E X1950PRO, Creative X-Fi Xtreme 7.1, 19" Daewoo W9ZQ Black Widescreen TFT, 4Mb Virgin Cable Broadband (formerly Blueyonder) with Linksys WRT54GL Wireless-G and DD-WRT firmware.

I've been using Hosting Unlimited for a couple of years now and had no problems. I get 5 email ads, domain, 5 sub-domains, 500mb space and 10gb monthly bandwidth. They've got Fantastico which easily adds other apps like forums, phpnuke etc too, 5 MySql databases and quite a few other bits and pieces.

Total cost with domain name is only about £27-29/year depending on the domain (.info is cheapest). Overall I think its excellent value for 500mb space with 10gb transfer/month especially when you see all the extras you get. Tech support isn't too bad, usually get a response within a day too and they have forums for the most common problems.
