Terminator 4's John Connor is cast

But then, maybe Arnie isn't needed? Apparantly John Connor will be in his 30's. By then, the war with Skynet should be in full force so maybe all the terminators will just be metal cyborgs? They won't have the need to 'dress up' so to say.

I've always thought there should be a Terminator movie based upon the stories future. The few glimpses you get of the war in the other films are brilliant and make you want to see more. I just hope they get it right in the next movie. It needs to be serious though, no jokes and gimmicks pleeeeease.

UPDATE: In contrast to aintitcool's report, CHUD is reporting here that their source tells them that Bale is actually in line for the role of the new terminator, with Arnie no longer on board. That we can see. Bale's got the bulk and anyone who's ever seen American Psycho will know he can do cold-eyed and terrifying. If this version of casting is true, we'll be a lot more excited and a lot less confused. In fact, that would be an incredibly good choice.

Personally I think Bale would make a better Terminator, somewhere more in line with Cameron's more original vision before casting Arnie as well.

o dear another terminator? is cameron directing it this time? if not they should scrap the whole movie period before they destroy the whole franchise.

edit: ahha crap that cameroon is nowhere to be seen. i guess i will take a miss on it even if christain bale(close to being my fav actor) is in it.
