Im really glad for the SSD release. The more we here about them the more liekly the prices are to start dropping and IMO these are the most importaint thing in computer development at the moment. The everyday user can get a dualcore celeron and 2GB ram and they will barely notice the difference between it and a wolfcore for just browsing the web, listning to music and transferring files etc as the main bottleneck on any PC will be the hard drives transfer rate and seek time. Solid state drives near enough eliminate seek time completely and should unleash the full capability of S-ATA 300 FINALLY!
They also alow us to have silence, mobility, tiny desktops, huge capacity extremely small MP3 players, very capable HD cameras etc etc etc
Thanks for the article - good to hear that the year ahead will be "busy" tech-wise.
