Beware : UK retail running out of GTA IV!

I would have thought that stores would only take enough pre-orders for the amount of stock there going to get and then just stop. What half arsed system is it that on the day of release you cant get the game that you pre-ordered months in advance. Nobody wants to see a set of angry gamers.....it wouldn't be pretty at all

Us PC gamers won't have to worry as i assume that GTA4 will be release over steam, seen as rockstar's back catalog are already on there. Although it will probably take an extra year to get bloody released!

there was supposed to be a shortage when halo3 came out. and yet it was everywhere, with a lot of shops selling below rrp.

Forgot to mention I will be using my student discount to pay for mine, and also for the 10% extra on trade ins with the special card, I'll be up to £100 or so when I trade in the games I bought from work for under £3 lol

im sure they will have plenty in stock. i mean it costs pennies to manifacture a single copy of a disk along with its packag. its not like a console machine ie the wii where it has to be made and assembled together

I would imagine the stock being available for the majority of people, however I know some people struggled obtaining Mario Galaxy on the Wii when it was released.

Oh I have also been told that the blockbuster store near me is only getting 10 copies in on launch day, this is from someone I know who works there

would queing up in zavvi megastore(formay know has virgin megastore down in picadily) guarantee me getting two copies of the game? shop should open around 9am and im planning on going there before work

yea exactly. oxford street gives me endless places to get the game before work hehe. question: would shops allow people to buy more then one copy? im looking to buy two, one for me and my bro

I've got my PS3 pre-order with play and it wouldn't surprise me one bit if I didn't get it on launch day! Demand for this game will be massive.

your not alone xD, too much fuss made about this game imo, oh they released a new trailer and all i hear for a few weeks is that but when you get a brand new game thats ment too be really good you dont even get this much hype .

gt3? san Andreas was crap imo, maybe this will be better but no way am i paying £40, hence why i went too pc gaming again 10-£25 a game and extremely better online
