I'm not convinced........
and it would be nice to see a DVI connector on it...
and IMHO it doesn't look that nice.... i'd rather have a predator over that
oh, and it says Acer on it
so maybe if it was by another company i might favour it a bit more... but... meh
edit: actually, the more you look at it, and read about it, the more inviting it becomes......
especially if it had a solid conversion on the price (but we all know thats not going to happen...)
it would make quite a nice HTPC but i'd want to keep it out of sight

That actually does look interesting. Not too stylish, but i'd probably keep it hidden.
Any chance of Hexus road testing on release? I am in the market for something like this, but keep um-ing and ah-ing between a 'proper' pc, and a dedicated media streaming receiver.
For me, if you are talking HTPC then it has to be able to work primarily by a remote control for day to day operations.

I like the look/sound of that... hmmm.......![]()

*Update*
Acer's UK marketing manager, Adam Westley, has told HEXUS there are "no plans to launch this in the UK currently." Bummer, it won't be the perfect HTPC after all.
WTF, why.......... thats illogical... yet again the UK misses out of something![]()
Recently I bought an Acer X1200 in USA for $450 and brought it to Europe. It will not boot correctly, and clearly the motherboard is not working correctly. To get it repaired Acer want me to send it to USA as they say they have no repair possibility in Europe. After it has been repaired they will only return it to an address in USA, which I don´t have. To find a solution I asked if they could send me a new motherboard, if I paid the shipping costs and if needed parts of the cost of the motherboard. Acer Support was not prepared to find a solution on this as they can not send to adresses outside USA, and hence the PC can not be repaired. Acer was even not willing to tell me the brand and type of the motherboard in X1200, to make it easier for me to buy a new motherboard. I do not understand the support policy of Acer - this is simply not good enough and clearly I can not recommend others in Europe to buy an Acer PC in USA.
Now I hope that someone in the Hexus community can help me with information about where to buy a replacement motherboard for my faulty X1200 ?
Did you ever get the specs on the Aspire x1200 motherboard? I recently purchased one with a Sempron processor for $329 and would like to upgrade it to an Athlon.
