Who told who so? Wasn't it various Witcher fans who first mentioned the enhanced edition ages ago?
No, I meant about all the fixes it would need....
And the more I think about it, the more I'm thinking this is a slightly cynical release... basically a big patch session and then a lot of gumph thrown in to justify paying for it.
I mean, is anyone really going to listen to a CD of music inspired by The Witcher? If they are, I happen to have for sale a CD of music inspired by me building a shed. There's another one inspired by going to Tescos and another inspired by me banging my head on the keyboard at the stupidity of it all...
You don't have to pay for it though - it's completely free.
If you want all a physical copy of all the extra bumf then you can pay for that, but if you just want everything electronically (including soundtrack) it's free for The Witcher owners.
But it's not going to do anything to make you like the game anymore Nick
Nope, you're right there... and, to pre-answer anyone who gives me the line of 'try it again, it's much better', I'll say nope to that too... I already had a go, it was underwhelming, I'm not going to go back and have another look 'now it's fixed'... it should've been right the first time around.
That'd be like giving me a car to drive, neglecting to mention that the brakes don't work very well, the throttle can stick open and the steering wheel occasionally falls off then, after the inevitable crash, fixing all the problems and asking me to give it another go...
By all means enjoy The Witcher, I'll just draw boobs on packs of playing cards and have the 'offline Witcher experience'.
Talking of upcoming games, have Hexus managed to blag any juicy info about Storm of Zehir for NWN2, or Dragon Age?
Yes. And a load more too, all of which I'm not even allowed to nudge-nudge wink-wink about.
But we'll be bringing you a SoZ hands on from GC plus some brand new, as yet unannounced stuff from the Codies, the same from Atari, Activision, EA and Ubi.... and loads more.
