Re: News - Need for Speed Undercover, uncovered

I wasn't at all impressed with pro-street, and this game sounds as bad.
feature a deep and engaging story
Oh dear, I wish they wouldn't bother with story lines for racing games. They are generally crappy and end up just being skipped. Maybe they should try actually just making a really solid racing game instead of gimmicky rubbish like celebrity voice acting. In fact it was the annoying commentry on pro-street that made me uninstall it after the first few races.

I agree with you there about Pro-Street.

There's plenty of racers out there which are just about racing. I think it's quite nice having a storyline running alongside it, as long as the racing doesn't suffer.

Re: News - Need for Speed Undercover, uncovered

Having played nearly every NFS in the series I’ve been really disappointed by the recent releases, I really hope it goes back to its roots with this latest iteration!

NFS: Most wanted was the last decent release and that they need to re-focus on what the Need for Speed brand is all about.

Anyone here remember NFS: Hot Pursuit 2... By far the best of the lot, the really it the sweet spot with that one¬!

Good news, I hope they go back to underground2/most wanted style of game, I enjoyed those. pro street was trying to be too relistic. We have enough realistic racers already.

Re: News - Need for Speed Undercover, uncovered

Nothing will touch porsche unleased.. that was the best (though untypical) NFS game IMHO.

I am amused at the comment of pro-street trying to be realistic though

Pro street was far from realistic. I'd personally like for the next need for speed to be something like burnout paradise. The engine is already there, a few tweaks and add car customisation and the jobs a good 'un.

I've got that, run it on a legacy machine it's awesome

And as Kalniel said, porsche unleashed was probably the best, that was such a fun game to play

I really enjoyed underground and underground 2 but havn't liked them since then

ProStreet was so terrible, I uninstalled it after an hour (time that I will never get back)
Have gone back to playing Most Wanted And Carbon.
Personally I like NFSU2 and Carbon the best of the series

Not even heard of Undercover - is it for PC?, will go google and see.

I agree, ProStreet was bad! Lets just hope this goes back to the times of Most wanted because that NFS was awesome!
