It would be nicer if they pensioned off 945GC and launched an ITX mobo with a less crap and power hungry chipset. 22W for chipset and how many for the CPU? 2W?

Like they did by replacing it with the GN40 you mean?

Or Tiger Point with the N450 I guess.

Where is the mini ITX mobo that replaces the 945GC mobos? I don't see any on Intel's website. Perhaps your eyes are better than mine (and the 945GSE is basically the same so don't try that one!)

This article and kalniel are referring to netbook CPUs, the desktop Pineview chips will come later (Q4 2009 for Dual core D510 & Q1 2010 for Single core D410 nettop cpus).

The desktop boards names will be D510MO (Mount Olive) & D410PT (Packton).

May pick a Atom based product up soon, ive started to become more wary about ym power usage and so these are right up my street, but knowing that while they are efficient that they should really be more efficient is annyoing :-/

And my post referred to dumping 945GC (desktop chipset) that is paired with Atom...

Where did you find the mobo info as the only Google entry for D510MO is this thread. Are you sure the model is correct as your info seems ahead of Google even!

Yeah I know and he didn't catch on he was still talking mobile.

The info comes from the week 23 Intel roadmap and is correct.
