I haven't actually used one yet, but everyone I know who has one loves it.
It's basically small, super easy to use, point and shoot, easy to upload.
It was made with the YouTube/Facebook video crowd in mind, so as long as you don't care too much about super video quality or fancy, shmancy bells and whistles, its perfect.
Cheap too. Basic (non HD model) is $150, HD model with 60mins of internal storage is $200, 120min HD model $230.
About the size of a smartphone too: 3.94" x 1.97" x 0.66" (H x W x D)
Apparently works ok in lowish light too...
But you could say that about Apple, just because loads of people love it, doesn't mean it's any good..
Same with ipods, most popular and close to most expensive, but nowhere near the best player on the market in terms of file playback and audio quality.

Ah, see, I DO bother about quality. Mainly coz the videos I take will be of my family, rather than some loling moron lighting their farts, or falling spectacularly off their bicycle.
Man, I'm grumpy today.
so... the HD version... better quality?
