I'd love people to post experiences, as i am a huge Star Trek fan, however have generally been burnt by most ST games. Plus, i think that the trailer looks generally rubbish - the graphics look straight out of 2005, and have been rendered at about 10 fps (i'm sure this is probably just down to the encoding, however leaves an impression of the game itself being slow and stuttery).
Oh, and as for content, the trailer suggests that its just one big frag-fest, either land-based or space.
I just hope that they picked an idiot to make the trailer, rather than the trailer being accurate about the game....

I used Fileplanet yesterday and it wasn't very fast ~150Kbit/sec . People are saying gamershell is fast. The torrent and other links posted on the Star Trek Online website are slow too. Guess a lot of people trying to download it for the weekend.

all the links were very slow so i grabbed the torrent, that was slow until i stuck it on my dedi and added it as a peer on my home pc, now im going full whack and its a 2 hour dl
I'm not a fan of Star Trek tbh, but I'll gladly have a peek. Will leave it downloading on the NAS overnight and see where I am in the morning.
