Nah that is just caused by watching crud like Clash of the Titans.
As to the nvidia clames
Basically what they are saying is, "now we're finally going to be selling laptops and pc's with 120mhz screens as standard and a pair of glasses."
Now given that most pre-built pc's comes with basic low end monitors I can only guess that someone has finally come up with a cheap way to make low end 120mhz TN panels.
And of course the big OEM pc manufactures are intrested, they need a new hook to sell new pc's and a reason to come up with new models as for the past couple of years there's really been no need for all the new models for your avarage user.
computers are moiving into a worrying area where they are being treated like fashion items with a feature/performance smear.
