I want to hate this for what it is - an excellent and unique concept but evolved and turned into a mass market product, but the final photo has changed my mind -

It just doesn't look that well made or mod-able. As the review said "Cheap chinese knockoff" comes to mind...

Looks just like a piece of the Citadel from HL2, oh and I think it looks ugly as sin.

I have only seen one PC case that I wouold buy without question over the last 12 months

That was the Silverstonestone Fortress FT02R-W Red and of course it was a limited edition and not now available. I keep hoping it will re-appear

Re: Reviews - Thermaltake Level 10 GT chassis review

I loved the SATA HDD's Power Cabling on this. Real classy.

I know I stand out as different from the above comments, but I quite like this case.

It's not as striking as the original, but it's more economical (not sure if that's the right word) and it appears to be a dream for people who are OCD about cabling (me, for instance).

tigertop1, I looked up the Silverstone case. Unlike most cases you mount components to the left.

Whilst novel, this would mean (discrete) graphics card(s) would be upside-down. I have read (but can't remember where) that this can negatively affect the cooling performance of such graphics cards.

(I think I read that on Tom's somewhere. Something about sucking up heat from CPU. I'll check.)

Re: Reviews - Thermaltake Level 10 GT chassis review

Baius, you might be right re the Silverstone case but bear in mind that it came with the very high performance 'Penetrator' fans which should overcome any heat build up from any source. Maybe if the Thermaltake case had a few more improvements such as dumping the fan presets and installing better fans such as the 'Penetrator' series plus a really smart firebox red powder coated interior just to satisfy my liking for that and finally better blending in of the 'odd shaped ' boxes as the review calls them migh make me take a second look- But meanwhile I still maintain it is an unlikely candidate for 'best external case design award'

Re: Reviews - Thermaltake Level 10 GT chassis review

there we go, the bastard child of giving a high end designed solution to the penny pinchers to mass market.

Thats a horrible chassis on so many levels - not least because its based off the cheap shell that thermaltake keep routinely skinning over and over and over....

£200? Please - Lian-li have so much better on the market for less...
