Is it just me who hates multiplayer demos, I just want to look around and see how pretty it is.

To be honest after playing the 360 demo, I doubt I will bother with the same small spray and prey MP demo for the PC. Fingers crossed the SP campaign is where this game is at.

This is great as it will be useful to see how well my current setup will run the game.
If it comes with a benchmarking tool I can see it being a popular d/l.

Without reading any publicly-available information, i'd certainly anticipate much more use of multiple threads (maybe even able to use that 12 thread Core i7??), as well as the current DX11 graphics features... but all that said, i also wouldnt be shocked if the overall experience is going to require virtually the same specs as the original Crysis, which still often gets around 40-50 fps on very powerful modern machines in HD res.the third generation CryEngine should be able to deliver gorgeous visuals without bringing a PC to its knees.
Am eager to see.
Also, well done Crytek on the demo, I've also noticed nearly none available through Steam these days...

i got my crysis 2 on preorder through the EA store aswell! CHecked a couple days ago and my ordered had disapeared, had to email them and they confirmed it was there but didnt tell me why i cant see my order!. Oh well, cant wait.
I wonder if my 460 can handle this... if it cant then i guess i have a reason to overclock it and start setting money aside for a new card

i also bought dragon age 2... so it worked out like £15 each which had me oozing with excitement , i was expecting to pay £25+ for dragon age/crysis 2 preorders each so i couldnt help myself but order hehe.
Lets just hope this lives up to PC GAMERS expectations and isnt to far dumbed down for console gamers :L.
although i am buzzing over this announcement, not only because it's finally time PC gamers got something more than a port but also because it's a crytek game and that equates to a hardware taxing subsystem dreamt up by a PC gamer and ported back down to consoles but the dilemma will be that will it be worth it ?
PC piracy is notorious and if a game that becomes synomous with PC gaming cannot turn a profit then what is the point in other studios even making the effort ?
I'm as guilty as the next guy for pirating PC games..I've never bought a PC game outright without grabbing the piracy version first to see if it's worth it..PC piracy is just too easy
It would be great if we could go back in time and reverse the whole trend of the way we view piracy then maybe developers would have more of an incentive to push the envelope on currently available technology and make a profit without the fear of people not bothering to pay for it.
^ they didn't port it back down to consoles, they have a team to do the PC game and a team for the console game (On that note I hope they do an NGP port, playing Crysis 2 on the go would be awesome)
It isn't as efficient as valve's method (One engine, All platforms)but it does mean PC gamers will get better support
