Corsair are free to use this for reference in the future

I think by LP they should mean Low Power, not Low Profile.
The key selling point here is the 1.35V - lowering the power draw for small systems with limited heat dissipation, make sure those sticks don't overheat in a warm running system with a tight enclosure.
Acronym interpretation/creation FAIL??
The LP is for Low Profile. The regular Vengeance and Vengeance LP operate at 1.5V, but this "Arctic White" version runs at 1.35V.
not bad looking ram maybe they should be NP for normal profile rather than low profile.
How do they compare in height to say corsair xms3
i prefer the look of the blue ones myself

Have to say, despite being a big fan of corsair memory, the heatspreaders are completely pointless on 1.5v or less DDR3 and some of them are of a stupid size too - so in a way it's nice to see "LP" ones whilst I still don't see the point in the craziness of vengeance stylee spreaders.
If anything the only like I have from spreaders is that it makes it easier to plug them in and out

Absolutely. Heat spreaders on sticks like that are completely pointless. One of the things I love about the Geil 'black dragon' sticks is the lack of head spreaders. And standard height sticks are not low profile, just standard profile, or normal.
The heatspreaders do make the memory look more attractive, though that's down to personal opinion, of course. But you can match your memory colour to your motherboard or case (if you have a white case), which many people do like to do.
Horses for courses - if you don't like heatspreaders, there are plenty of DIMMs (including from Corsair) that don't have them. And if you do like them, then you can now choose from black, blue, red and white, in tall or short formats. The choice is yours, which includes choosing not to have heatspreaders!
I think Arctic White / a white colour will denote 1.35V. What we launch in the future will largely depend on what people want / what's popular.
This Arctic White Vengeance is the only one currently.
to be fair, Scan are either gouging a bit on em, or ebuyer have an amazing price, but they can be had much cheaper.
White LP £58.22 http://www.ebuyer.com/278225-corsair...8gx3m2a1600c9w
