haha most things blend if you have a big enough blender xD. On a serious not though, I think I just found my next phone if this turns out to be true!
While impressive, these will be expensive on release, so I'll aim to get a cheap S3 which are falling in price quite a bit at the moment. I reckon about Feb/March there should be some very good deals to be had. I can finally rid myself of this HTC Wildfire, not sure whether to sell it or blow it up yet based on the suffering it has caused me....
4.7" is quite big enough for a normal phone display, going bigger again just for the sake of 1080p is getting a little silly.
The 4.3" 720p screen on my sony does the trick for me.
It does look insanely thin, wonder if they can still fit a micro usb port on it.
Also wouldn't fancy car mounting that either

This is inevitably going to be my next phone when I get around to replacing my SII in the second half of next year.
Not that I need a 1080p 5" phone. 720p is more than enough to look great in my opinion.
440ppi? Insane....I'm still on my S2 and can't see any compelling reason to switch when the time comes in April next year, it does the job admirably....small enough, light enough, decent battery (2 days typically), chrome browser, good camera with good colour reproduction (preferable to my missus's One X camera) thin....it's just the perfect phone in may ways "just right". Only thing that could do with improving from my perspective is the screen resolution but I can live with 800x480 to be honest, it's perfectly usable.
I agree that 800x480 is good enough on my S2, but the more the merrier.
What I do not agree with is the ever-increasing screen sizes - they just look silly and you cant use them with one hand. The S3 was already too big. 4" up to maybe 4.3" is about what i'm looking for.
Of course, Samsung are entitled to do their scattergun approach to the market, but i hope they produce a smaller screen device but with all the nice internals.
Ah, what do I care. I'm probably going with Win Phone 8 next anyway.

people have different sized hands. I find the S2 and iphones too small and dinky to use properly, the S3 is just about perfect.

The date is 2017 the new Samsung Galaxy VII has a 42" 4k display - comes with free trolley. This is getting ludicrous. 5" is a huge phone, even 4.7" is too big, christ you need a metrosexual man-bag just to cart it about. 4.3" is more than enough in a phone.

That was the first thing I thought of.
I've been putting off getting a really posh phone for ages - i think i might give in with this !
