Good performance but the price is just a joke.

Re: Reviews - NVIDIA GeForce GTX TITAN in SLI

As someone spotted in the previous thread, the 7970 is listed as having a 256-bit memory interface, which is incorrect; it's 384-bit like the Titan.

Re: Reviews - NVIDIA GeForce GTX TITAN in SLI

Ultra invokes extra graphical hurt by calling for global illumination, though NVIDIA claims that the method by which it is implemented is far from optimal.
or in other words: it doesn't run as well on nvidia hardware as it does on AMD hardware. Of course, when the shoe was on the other foot and nvidia's software developer relations guys were doing the same thing to AMD, there was nothing wrong with the implementation, I'm sure...

Also,Nvidia uses proprietry methods and AMD uses DX11 DirectCompute.

Thinking I may leave C3 for now, if you only get 50FPS with a SLI Titan then its going to rape my rig !

To be fair, that's at 2560*1600 and at high quality. I'm sure if you turned the settings down, or if need be, drop the resolution, it would be fine.

Re: Reviews - NVIDIA GeForce GTX TITAN in SLI

I wonder if CM will stick with the lighting approach in Grid 2, arguably a bigger/popular offering than Dirt(showdown) nowadays? It can't look good that your game possibly runs at a less than desirable level on half of Steam recorded GPUs.
Kalniel: "Nice review Tarinder - would it be possible to get a picture of the case when the components are installed (with the side off obviously)?"
CAT-THE-FIFTH: "The Antec 300 is a case which has an understated and clean appearance which many people like. Not everyone is into e-peen looking computers which look like a cross between the imagination of a hyperactive 10 year old and a Frog."
TKPeters: "Off to AVForum better Deal - £20+Vat for Free Shipping @ Scan"
for all intents it seems to be the same card minus some gays name on it and a shielded cover ? with OEM added to it - GoNz0.

Horrible choice of games Hexus. Absolutely horrible.
4/6 games are AMD games. You could atleast be better with picking equally AMD and Nvidia games, then picked out a few neutral games. Anandtech does that when he review GPUs.

Thankfully we have better Titan SLI reviews than this, because this game out pretty biased toward AMD.

Please explain. Dirt Showdown is the only one that has a method that nVidia question, but as the method is an open standard it's a little hard to complain too loudly - see our other comments on previous reviews including it (essentially, is it coded to hobble nVidia, which would be bad, or is it simply a case of AMD cards having better hardware for DirectCompute? - The evidence seems to be towards the latter, given the results of synthetic tests).

I would have really liked to have seen the insane Asus HD 7990 ARES 2 in the mix as its the top card using AMD chips and is still cheaper. I have a feeling I know who would win there

For the Price to Performance ratio this just isn't worth it for most people...

But if you've got the money lying around...

Dirt showdown, Sleeping dogs (lol that is 100% AMD game) and Black Ops 2 are AMD games. There is no point in denying that.

50% of your testbench is AMD biased.
