Ubisoft... Stop.Being.Nice..
Fails to compute
Seriously, I've seen some entertaining footage of people playing this (and some mediocre reviews). But for nothing I'll definitely be grabbing it - great way to push DLC sales.
This game has many great missions, but also some incredibly annoying ones that lay bare the shoddy illusion of racing against its AI.
However, you should still get it because it's an absolute joy to switch off the in-game music, put on some music/podcasts of your own, and just drive across the country watching the scenery change. It's not the most beautiful racing game, but considering its vast size it is plenty beautiful enough.

Uplay doesn't bother me, its hardly more work to open up uplay or origin than it is steam.
I do wonder why some people so blindly support a monopoly.
Cheers OP for heads up , had been meaning to buy this at some point but won't be now .

mate, there`s oodles of crysis steam keys on offer- i paid about four quid on ebay for mine
it is currently ten quid on steam itself- fifteen for warhead double pack
it`s not difficult to transfer your saves across if you want to
besides that, with the crew freebie i`ll at last get my stick-in-the-mud mate on board, which is nice
hmmm
I was talking about the Crysis series - I think 2 and 3 are both on Origin - I fairly sure my copies of Crysis and Warhead are standalone.
This is diverging from the point that this freebie is just an attempt to draw more members to Ubisoft's online games library, which seems to be struggling. I have no particular antipathy toward Uplay, and I have no idea if it's good or bad (relatively speaking) - I just don't want another library - I don't have GOG or Windows Store either.

Steam keys have one thing in common: A portion of the money goes to steam.
You do realise that Valve charge money to release games on their platform? and you do realise that UPlay, EA etc broke away due to the prices Valve were starting to demand?
If we didn't have the other clients, steam game prices would almost certainly be higher then they are now.

Yes, they can make a few pence from that humble bundle key I bought.
Right, they were forced into it - it wasn't borne of a desire to copy the business model and make money from it themselves...
I think you must be confused, or perhaps you misread my posts, because you seem to be attributing an argument to me that I didn't make - I didn't say other clients shouldn't exist. I said I, that's me and me alone, would prefer my games in a single library and I will happily forego even a AAA game that is tied to a client I don't run - it's only a game afterall.
Making inane assumptions that it I'm blindly supporting a monopoly is little more than flame bait and trolling.
